As a Outdoor educator, I have had the privilege to take young Kiwis into the wilderness for up to 3 weeks at a time. Combined with adventure whether it was mountains, or forest, oceans or lakes, I have enjoyed seeing the transformative power of the wilderness. While we were focused on youth development, there was huge theraputic value, not only for the students but for the facilitators.
